April 6, 1967 - June 17, 2009
David Richardson moved through life with a literal spring in his step that was symbolic of his lightness of spirit. His mischievous grin, love of fun, and natural magnetism made others gravitate to him.
David left this Earthly plane on June 17, 2009 after a valiant battle with cancer. David was born to Robert Richardson and Peggy Richardson (Ruppert) on April 6, 1967. As a youth, David’s athletic ability began to shine. Whether he was jumping a BMX bike over a car or setting records in track, he moved with a fluidity and ease that was emblematic of his personality. After graduating from Edmond Memorial High School in 1985, he began a career in the automotive repair industry. Over the course of many years, he developed a reputation as a skilled, in-demand mechanic throughout the Edmond area. Never content to sit idle, it wasn’t long before David had started tearing apart and rebuilding computers. With no formal training, David was soon building computers from the ground up for friends and family. With this self-developed skill, he began a new career running the testing lab at Remy/Unit Parts. David spent the last 12 years with his wife Diane and the past 21 as a loving father. He loved spending time with his family and friends. David was taken too early but will be forever missed, remembered, and loved.
David is survived by his wife, children, grandfather, mother, father, step-mother, sister, and brother.
